The current system was infroduced in stages between 1959 and 1974

Is this a quiz - this has been asked before and there is a site about - gasp - history of post codes.

London 1858, and the rest 1967 I think - and there are no NE codes for London that's Newscastle, and another one (S?) - and wow SE28 is huge ! it's somewhere here in AB
