Does antone know where i can find records of old graves please. My son and I took my mum over Stainland, W. Yorks today to look for a chapel where her family are buried but when we got there the chapel was apartments and most of the graveyard was a field. This chapel is on the way from Outlane down in to Stainland on Right hand side going down(Don't know what it was called). Where can I find records of people that were buried there. I have rung Calderdale council and cremetorium office but they can't help.

The burial registers will probably be at the County Records Office.
A methodist burial register may not contain the grave or plot number. Wakefield Record Office should hold the register of burials.
