Was I really wrong?

I was assulted on a bus this morning because a woman said I pushed in front of her in the queue, when reality we were the last to get on at the same time and I actually was further in front of her to put my oyster card on the pad, but she pushed me away to put her card through first. I leaned in further as i was in front..and then the slapping and scratching came from her!

I never even touched the woman so how can she say i pushed in front of her?? She said she was waiting for ages for the bus longer than me..but what has that got to do with anything? As a result i have various cuts and bruises on my body and will now report her to the police for assult. There were several witnesses present.....Was her behaviour necessary?

She slapped you for a reason! You pushed in! How plain can it be?

Will you not acknowledge that jumping the queue is out or order? Are you saying that we should not queue, survival of the fittest?

Help I am struggling with warped logic here!

I never said that or suggested that. We got on at the same time, I happen to have longer legs so i ended up further in front. That's it.

I just love the logic that says its ok to assault somebody if they nick your place in a queue.

To all those saying that it was a balanced response to the situation would you say that I'd be within my rights to brain the next car driver that cuts me up whilst driving?

But why did you "get on at the same time" even though she was in front of you in the queue? You should have waited and let her on first.

It was a double decker bus, therefore the doors were wide, wide enough for 2 people to get on side by side. If she was waiting for a long while like she said then she should have been one of the first to get on but she wasn't.

So you're calling her a liar now? Good god, you're story's changing every time.

Why dont you do the decent thing, track her down, and apologise to her. Maybe even refund her the bus far.

Learn from this, that's all I ask.

If you read my story properly everything corresponds and makes sense. Nobody is calling anyone a liar. You're trying too hard to twist everything around.

The idea of refunding her bus fare when she has comitted assult (an actual recognised crime btw) on me is the dumbest thing I ever heard. I'm sure she would be able to make a lot of use from a measly �1.50 -what a good idea.

If she expressed her disapproval and shouted at me then fine, I would apologise, but she took it a step too far. The woman belongs in a zoo!

no, it was not. It seems all kinds of rage is happening in society. I am sick of selfish people who only think about themselves. It is no coincidence that seven million people in this country are on anti-depressants. When you viisit the shops it is a bloody nightmare.

Why is it only women do not look for the money when the cashier is scanning the goods instead of rummaging through their handbag when the goods have been scanned and why do carry ALL their cards-credit cards, bank cards, store cards, points card and every other payment card.


Why do shop assistants chat away with customers when there are other people waiting to be served they obviously don't care.

I cant believe you are acting like you are exempt from any blame - of course she shouldnt have hit you but I would prefer the police to be looking for terrorists on public transport and not a couple of brats whose main objective of the day is to get on the bus first! Ridiculous and you should be embarassed to even pursue this as I bet you were bit more aggressive than you are saying on this message for her to have had that response to you.
