When I was at work, I always kindly asked the cleaners not to clean any of the computers, monitors, keyboards, mice/mouses, photocopiers, calculators & telephones, etc. Quickly sloshing over with a wet cloth can spread germs, cause damage & leave awful smear marks, making them look worse!
Individual office staff were responsible for cleaning equipment they regularly used on their own desks & any other shared equipment was cleaned by the same staff , including myself, as & when required.
At home, I use Asda Baby Wipes to clean my keyboard, mouse, house phones, mobile phones, remote controls, etc. Cotton buds are also very useful. I also gently tip my keyboard on its side & use a spare clean makeup brush to get between the keys.
P.S. I also use unperfumed baby wipes on my face, hands, shoes, bags & a multitude of other things! They do a brilliant job, dry quickly & don't leave any smears!
