I used to commute 85 miles each way on a daily basis until quite recently. Longer than most but nowhere near the longest daily commute I would have thought.
I seem to remember a few years ago now (maybe about 10 years) a programme featuring a man who lived on the Isle of Wight and commuted to London every day. Wouldn't like to do it myself.
When I lived in Sheffield, I knew several people who commuted to London (about 160 miles each way) daily. I'm sure, though, that a lot of people travel much further than that. For example, some residents of Ashford are currently complaining bitterly that Eurostar's proposed new schedules will make their daily commuting to Paris impossible.
my journey is an hour and a half each way every day. But i doubt that's the longest duration. no idea how many miles, probabaly not many, but there's a load of messing about and changes
