It'll be of more interest to me when we can eat in a hostelry at any time. I get pig sick when I'm told "sorry we've stopped serving food, it's after 2pm you know". Grrrh.

I moved to Ashford in Kent from South East London. I know from bitter experience the trouble leaving a pub at 11 can bring, where I used to live about 6 pubs kicked out at the same time and every Friday and Saturday nigh there was trouble. For some reason here in Ashford a lot of the pubs open untill 1pm (some even until 2pm) so there is a sort of staggered chuck out time, also I think 11 is far too early and you tend to find that in the pubs that open until 2pm most people have naturally made an exit by closing time so you dont get hords of people on the street. There is also a bit agrument which I agree with that closing at 11 encourages binge drinking where people throw as much as they can down their throst between 8 and 11 but if it was open longer then people could take their time.
