Hi. Serious question. I've been on websites and stuff about Heather Mills McCartney and I am intrigued to know how much her Prosphetic leg costs, does anyone know? Thanks in advance

I can give you a general guide to the costs of a prosthetic leg, but don't know about Ms Mills specifically. A prosthetic 'half leg' limb, i.e. from the knee, typically costs, privately, in the region of �5,000 to �7,000. There are a number of private clinics nationwide that made prosthetic limbs and, as you can image, their prices can vary somewhat. They do, however, look just like a real limb, it is very spooky! They are covered in a silicone material, which is coloured to match the patient's own skin colour perfectly and even include moles/freckles/hair (where desired!), to match the patient's skin tone etc. Different prosthetic limbs can be made to accommodate the patient's lifestyle, e.g. waterproof limbs for swimming and watersports. These kinds of limbs are more expensive; I cannot recall the costs precisely, but approx �9,000 for a 'half leg' swimming limb.
