I am going through the process of buying and selling a house, and am therefore dealing with a number of Estate Agents, and quite frankly, to a man I have found them all to be utter utter liars and completely untrustworthy (I hesitate to use the expression scumbags) - my question is - am I the one with the problem, or do other people feel the same? And are there any other professions which are worse?

I had the unfortunate experience of working in Estate Agents a few months back. And yes I agree, they would do anything to get a sale.
wiht you all the way on that one :-) i think the morals of the majority of the papparazi can be questioned, but im not sure you can call that a profession. having been patronised by a traffic warden for doing a 3 point turn somewhere near a parking meter this morning, they get my vote.
The only point on which I'd disagree with you is the phrase "to a man" - the women are just as bad, if not worse!
Ask yourself a question. Who is the estate agent more concerned about, you or the vendor. Answer, neither they are only concerned for themselves!
I agree with the estate agents and yellow dragons 100%Also, most, but not all, doctors' receptionists and supermarket pharmacists - the first can be snooty because 'I'm a doctors receptionist so I know everything' and the second talk to you like a child because they are bitter and failed doctors!! Well, most of the ones I have encountered anyway, male or female!!!

Solicitors - arrogance personified. Youth social workers - bleeding heart liberals who feel society is to blame for their "clients" anti-social behaviour, as opposed to them just being horrible little s***s. Car clampers - aggressive bully boys with learning difficulties.
Middle Managers who want 'Directorship'! Sorry going off the subject slightly!
