Corner shop/supermakret

Can anyone help me find a family run supermarket in Northampton or Peterborough. Ideally started as a corner shop years ago

many branded mini-marts (Spar, Alldays, etc) are run as franchises I think - they will have started off as corner shops and then been taken over but will still be 'family run' in many cases, just with big bro looking over their shoulder. I don't think there's any such thing as an independent supermarket is there?

We did use to have a shop which did start out years ago as a corner shop gradually bought the row of shops and enlarged, sold out to Bugdens, then to Tescos who demolished the whole lot and built a superstore!!! Just wondered if there were any who had managed to keep going
