cryptic clue's

these are places in the southwest of england i.e.burnt(5)=chard the one's i can't get are a hot and heavy place(7 letters) and hardly a royal abode(10 letters) please help

Helston, perhaps, based on the idea of 'hel(l)' being hot and 'ton' being a heavy weight?
