I was also being insulting, but if I'd have been insulting as well as not sexist, someone would have said I was being rude about women in high-profile jobs!

Treat them like the ordinary human beings that they are. They are no different to any of your other colleagues, they just happen to be in a higher position.

They would most likely appreciate being spoken to in a down to earth manner.

I treat no one differently and find this works. If you are polite and courteous to everyone from the office junior to the senior management you'll find your working life that little bit more bearable!!
