At what age do you think men should stop wearing football shirts and long shorts as everyday wear?

My daughter just fell about laughing at a man roughly in his forties and says they look the equivalent of women looking like mutton dressed as lamb. What would be the phrase that could be used for men? Goats dressed as kids?

I guess I agree, although my partner wears his on match day :) Only when his team are playing though lol! And he hasn't got a lot of choice, given that he can't get up to Glasgow to watch live!
Shadow Man, 40 weeks might be the season, but they actually last about 1 wash before they lose the front transfer and start to bobble...tat!
"snide kecks"-dot, I am dying with laughter here!!

LOL good question pirate, loving the replies :o)
Thankfully my hubby doesn't like football so I don't have to endure him wearing one but he does wear the long shorts and he bought a pair of combat 3/4 length ones yesterday. I thought he would look odd but he actually looks really sexy!!!
There's a bloke I've seen about and he wears the rugby (sometimes football) shirt with collar turned up, wrap around shades, long shorts and brown sandals (no socks luckily). You can tell by the way he struts around that he clearly thinks he looks cool but he just looks a wally :o)
