I'm off to see a show soon at Sheffield Hallam FM Arena, but need to find out where the nearest taxi rank is for afterwards. Does anybody know if there are any outside the arena or any where near. Or would I have to get a tram into the city center to get one?

Cheers. SD

I lived in Sheffield for 20 years. Whenever I wanted a taxi, I just headed for the nearest main road and waited for one to come along. (Sheffield has the traditional black cabs, so they're easy to spot). Even at 2, 3 or 4 in the morning, I never had to wait more than a few minutes. At the end of a gig, there will be loads of taxis going along Broughton Lane and Attercliffe Road, so you shouldn't have to wait long. (As far as I'm aware, Sheffield has no taxi ranks outside of the city centre).

Alternately, use the Supertram service to the city centre:
