Duties of extended family

I am a straight guy with 2 siblings, so one day I might be a grandfather or an uncle. There are expectations of these sorts of people, and I am worried I mightn't live up to them. HOW ON EARTH do you pull a 50p/mint humbug from behind someones ear?

Well to answer your actual question (a rare occurrence on Answerbank!), you palm one first before you reach for your nephew's ear. But speaking as an uncle myself, be prepared to play along with all the games their parents are probably too exhausted to partake in. If that fails, buy them sweets (although your siblings might hate you for it!)
