in a romantic sense. she is quite mature for her age and we get on really well. just dont want to come accross a pervert.
There is no problem with your age gap - the lady in question is legally an adult, and you are hardly over the hill are you? I really wouldn't worry about it - you may get some teasing from friends, but just smile, and don't rise to the bait. If you are happy, it's no-one else's business. A friend of mine is fifty, and his wife is thirty-three, but he looks more like fifty-five, and she looks about twenty! They are constantly mistaken for father and daughter, but they just smile, and get on with loving each other, ads they have for two years of living together, followed by thriteen years of happy marriage. Good luck.
7 years difference at your age is nothing to worry about, when I was 25 me and pretty much all my friends were going out with 17-18 year old young women.
Blimmey, whats your secret!!!! As long as you are BOTH happy.

ill ask her if shes happy when i let her out from under the stairs. Kidding! thanks peeps this make me feel alot better. i really like her. (all together, awwww)
i wouldn't advise you to "come across a pervert though"
Not at all, go for it!
My partner is nearly 30 and I am 21. Also when I was 15 I was with a 23 year old - I don't see it should be a problem as long as you respect her wishes and dont treat her as a child - like some people do when there is an age gap.
no
I would say not - there are far bigger age gaps than that and the imact of of the gap will diminish in time - nobody will bat an eyelid when you are 50 and she is 43. Provided that you both can live with the fact that people will talk then good for you.

Some would argue that at 18 she is likely to change - mentally and emotionally - over the coming years and you must accept that that is the case if you are to pursue a relationship in the long term, but I would say that is as likely for someone of 25. Hell, I know 40 year olds that act like teenagers and teenager that act middle aged. Love conquers all.
i think its reali sweet that ur so worried to come on here and ask. i think that there is no problem with age gaps. it aint about the age its about how well u connect and if u have a good time 2getha, if u do then dont worry just be happy!

more great comments! yeah i was worried about her just growing up, i mean i know how much ive changed since i was 18 but then i have changed alot in the last year and expect to do the same in the coming year, so.... but its not as if were serious im just wanting to check whats what before it does, if it does... thanks again everyone!
To paraphrase an old Richard Herring routine:
"When I was 16, I thought it was really unfair that all the girls of my age were going out with blokes in the mid twenties just becuase they could drive. However, now I am in my mid twenties, I can appreciate the beauty of the situation..."
When I was 18 and 2 weeks old I met a man who was 25 ... he's now my husband. Of course you're not too old silly.
Does age really matter? its just a number, i recently met a guy who is 25 and i am only 18,age counts for nothing. just as long as you like each other go for it.
