Where in the world has the highest ratio of men to women as in the most men to every woman

I'll have a go at Alaska for the highest men:women ratio. Come to think of it, perhaps it's China, given the one-child policy and its repercussions.

I think it's probably more like Oman or Bahrein or Qatar - they are so rich in oil that they have loads of (mostly men) migrant workers from Pakistan, India etc. to do the menial work. I think in some places the ratio is more than 2 to 1.

erm what was the reason for Alaska? I would had said China I think they see male children as more desirable

China has the highest male/female birth ratio, perhaps Alaska or Antartica for the highest ratio living in the place?

Phantaxus, Apparently, it is Anchorage in Alaska. I should think it's something to do with the amount of men who go their to work. It's a good place for a girl to go and find employment and a lot of single girls are doing just that! If only I were younger and single........

In this country (UK) I remember reading that it was Nottingham - for some strange reason.

Nottingham certainly used to be, we used to go all the way up to Notts clubbing and staying in hotels, but the girls there always knew why you were there. A town called "Leigh" near Manchester and Liverpool has a high ratio of women to men. Go there near Xmas at the time when the factories close for holiday GREAT FUN!!!!!!
