Hotels in Manchester
5 Answers
I'm off to Manchester in October just for 3 days & i am looking for a nice hotel to stay at.I'm not looking for something that's expensive i wouldn't mind somewhere that is in the town centre or there abouts.I did stay at the Britannia earlier on in the year & that was nice but i just checked their website & it seems to be a bit more expensive than it was back in May.If anyone can help me out that would be great.

It's a really nice hotle, across the road from 'The Britannia' and under went a total refit in 2001 which took 18 months.
I stayed in the Jarvis Piccadilly in July and didn't spot any upgrade since I stayed in 1996.
The restaurant was good for evening meals but rubbish for breakfast.
Everything else was awful.
It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life.
(I have spent about a quarter of my life in hotels during the last ten years, so that may indicate how much competition there was for that title!)
Try The Rossetti Hotel on Piccadilly (right in the centre of town). Top place, designer rooms, lovely restaurant and residents get access to the small but very cool, very exclusive nightclub downstairs. Quick look on their website has double rooms at 105 per night, not bad if there's 2 of you. (No, I don't work there!)
