afcan-----Thank you, -Good to meet another Arsenal supporter, must admit I'm worried about Wenger is he losing the plot?
brenda, yes, Totterdown is quite hilly. There is a junction called The Three Lamps where the main roads to Bath and Wells start. Unfortunately it is not the Totterdown I used to know. Some years ago a lot of houses and shops were demolished for a so called road scheme improvement that never took place. They knocked the character out of the place. New buildings were built and some of the old houses were kept, including the ones where I lived. I have fond memories of Totterdown despite the hills which wouldn't suit me now.

Totterdown --thanks for the information. It is not an area that I know but it sounds like so many others absolutely ruined by what is called progress , which then falls flat leaving behind a souless , unfriendly and characterless mess.
What a price to pay.!!!!!!
Brenda, think he has lost the plot.... one week to the transfer window closing and what have we bought.......nowt.....
brenda, I know that I am going off the main reason of this thread being why ABers have the names they have. But it is good to vent my feelings for what I consider a grave injustice what was done to Totterdown those years ago. Many houses and a good shopping area was demolished. It was an old part of Bristol but still many people who had lived there all their lives had to move out. All for nothing. A lot of it is now rebuilt and some of it looks very nice but it is not the community it used to be. There, I have had my moan and grumble and I hope this thread gets back to what it is supposed to be about - people giving their reasons for their names on here.

Bit boring...my name is Angie and an ex boyfriend used to call me Angiebaby!! 57 was the number of the house I was living in at the time. xx
Mine is a nickname that an old friend gave me ! Not very exciting at all I'm afraid.
DaisyMae, the name of a very precious westie of my acquaintance.
My fist name is my last name in reverse, & my last name is my first name in reverse, the "W " I will let you fathom that out.
