hi! i'm 15 and a half years old, but look about 13... i'm about 5 ft (maybe even smaller than that!)

how can i make myself look older, or at least look my age, without putting heavy make up on?

Don't try! make the most of your younger years and embrace them. Trying to look older will only make people treat you as older and its not all positive. You will not like to hear this but enjoy being 13 and have some innocent fun, wishing your years away will not make you happier.

Be patient.  You will look older with time.  Believe me, when you are 30, you'll like looking like you are in your mid-twenties.

i had exactly the same prob same in my teens. it was worse in my late teens when i got asked for i.d everytime i tried to get in club/pub whilst all my friends could just walk in. also hated my friends saying to others 'guess how she is' in front of me. i'm having the last laugh now i'm in my early 30's. i still look like i'm in my mid 20's. i totally agree with answers aboveand just enjoy being young!

I know it's going to be a pain for you now but i totally agree with what the others have posted - when you get older you will love the fact that you look younger. i am 26 and last Christmas I was buying a gun from Argos to go with a Playstation - and the guy serving asked me if i was over 18! i was chuffed to think he thought there was a chance i could have been 17. Bless him!

I largely agree with the other comments - enjoy your younger years!  However, it can be embarassing to stand out from the rest of your friends and be the one that is constantly being id'ed.  I'd suggest experimenting with an older haircut as this made a huge difference to me - take a look at magazines and find something that looks quite classy.  Same with clothes, don't fall into the trap of dressing scantily, try going for a more subtle look.  And finally, make up!  Don't plaster it on but try using a little eyeliner, shadow and lipstick in flattering shades.  Finally, if it's your height or build that marks you out, try some heels and a few layers to add bulk!

I've looked at least 5 years older than I am since I was about 12 and it's horrible! Embrace your youthfulness and just think that you won't need that facelift in your old age!

Make the most of your petiteness.  Think of Kylie!  She is only your height and it hasn't done her any harm.

Your age will be apparent as soon as you speak - according to my eldest daughter who is an elfin 29 and looks 16. When I am out with her daughter who is 8, I adore being mistaken for her dad, and having to tell people I'm her grandad! Persevere, it will get better.

Andy, that happens to me all the time too! It's great to be mistaken for your Granchild's parent! I love it & keep my mouth zipped when this happens! All's well until they pipe up with 'Nanny I need to go to the toilet' or some other revealing give away!

i think it's sooo flattering when people the same age as you actually look older then you! it happens to me and my cousin everytime she comes to visit all our relatives start comparing us and say she looks older then me. i can tell she hates it. 

so enjoy yourself cos i love it however if you still want to look older then i suggest you try and form some spots on your face. my sister has a few spots and every1 thinks she's the eldest when she's the third eldest!
