I think it's the Millennium Bridge. The one that was designed by Sir Norman Foster for the year 2000 that had to be closed for a while as it swung terribly in the wind and was deemed unsafe. Despite being fixed, it's still known as the wobbly bridge in our house!
South Bank and Bankside are both on the south bank, so it doesn't actually cross between them. Blackfriars Bridge might also fit the question.
I thought the Millennium Bridge was the one closest to Banskide Power Station (now The Tate Modern), but I could be wrong. It's years since I've been anywhere near that area.
it's called the South Bank along to somewhere round Waterloo bridge then it becomes Bankside but I don't know where the official border is. Waterloo bridge is on the South Bank, the Millennium bridge is on Bankside, but there are other bridges (eg Blackfriars) around there too.
I'll bow to your greater knowlegde jno! I'm not totally confident of my memory of the area and the question is rather open to interpretation.
