Where exactly is the Southernmost point of Europe? Half the Web sites say in Spain near Gibraltar and the rest a place in Greece.

Greece apparently has a lighthouse at Akrotirion Tainaron which is on approx 36degrees20minutes. Greece owns some islands, notably Crete and Rhodes which stretch south of 35 degrees, but I don't imagine you want to count them.
