My daughter, when very young, lost me (briefly) in a department store, but had presence of mind to ask a member of staff. The girl told me what was said. "I'm looking for my daddy". "Oh yes? And what does he look like?" "Well, he looks like a man".

had to add this it only happened this morning,

my brothers 6 year old son was here whilst I was answering another question, he asked "why does it say dinsdale underneath your answer?"    I told him "Thats just my name"     He then asked "So why do mum, dad and auntie L call you Jim then?"

I was playing with my 3 yr old neice in the garden and she heard the ice cream man, she asked for a lolly and I told her there were plenty in the freezer and I that I was too poor to buy them from the van, to which she replied "Why has Paul got your money?". She also convinced that I'm going to see someone called Jim (hey dinsdale!) when I'm going to the GYM.
Fantastic answers!!I have laughed so much.

Well, this doesn't feel so funny right now as it just cost me $100, but I'm sure I'll be laughing about it in the future.  Our fridge stopped working, and we couldn't figure out why.  Repair man came this morning, and within a minute he said "It's turned off - that's why it's not working!"  Well, inside the freezer in a little hidden place is an on/off switch - that my 2 year old found and used!  The repair man asked my son "Does this button look familiar to you?" and he said "Oh, yes!"  I was really embarrassed that I hadn't found the button and checked it (I did check the cord, which was plugged in).

Other than that, he's always saying things that are funny, but I think more in context than anything else - nothing offhand that I can remember right now.

I just love these answers!

Oh, of course after I press submit, I remember a few cute things.

Lately I've been baking bread a lot.  So my son, after I wipe his face with a washcloth after a meal, likes to take the damp washcloth and drape it over the steering wheel on his little car.  Then he comes to tell me that it needs to rise.  A minute later he's saying "I think it's ready!"  When I ask him what's in the bread, he says decisively "Salt!"

Also, the other day, he looked at me and said, "I'll be right back!"  Then he turned around, walked just to the doorway of the next room, and turned back around and came back :-)

My 6 year old daughter Jordana was on the toilet doing a wee the other morning. She had been weeing for some time when she said "God, Dad my udder's full this morning".

My son tells me that when he was little he thought our neighbour was called Mrs Acrosstheroad.  It's just that when ever I talked about her to him I always referred to her as Anne, across the road.

Just thought of this.

When my husband used to brush our son's teeth when he was very little he always used to place his hand behind the lad's head to steady it.   When my son started to brush his own teeth, he always did it with his own left hand behind his head!

When my brother was a child he had a music teacher called Beulah Loos, and when he went to do a music theory test he had to fill in his teachers name. He had filled in Bula Louse.

Thanks for all your amusing answers!  I've had a good giggle.

One foggy morning my daughter opened the door and said "Mummy look at all that steam".

Then just the other day out of the blue she said "you look like Deirdre!" (Of Corrie) i was horrified!!!!!!! & no i'm not a bit like her!

I bought a new swimsuit for our holiday in france.  This was in the 80's when my son was three.  It was pink with black dots and a frill (quite fashionable at the time).   On holiday my son asked me when I was going to wear my Pink Elephant Swimsuit!   Out of the mouth of babes........
