Long coat

I hope some of you will know what I mean, but I really want a warm coat and I have seen some girls wearing them. They are casual, usually quite long and padded like a nice winter coat. They are very slim fitting so they fit very close to the body. Where can I get one?

I brought one a few weeks ago from Jane Norman. I don't know what you mean by long, but mine is full length - close to the ankles. I might be saying it because it's new, but I think it's the best coat I have ever had. It looks good (the fit is excellent unlike most long coat) and it's warm too.

This sounds exactly like what I'm looking for! I have seen them in 2 lengths- down to the knee, and down to the ankle. Is Jane Norman part of a department store? I have heard of it but can't bring it to mind.

You can find Jane Norman in Debenhams, River Island have got a few nice ones. What's it made of?

Not really sure to be honest natalie, just like a nice padded waterproof material. And they all have stitching on so they are like padded squares all over the coat...does this make sense? It is so hard to explain.

Sounds more like a quilted jacket to me.  If you haven't heard of Jane Norman, then perhaps Topshop....

Emmm, Jane Norman.. there is usually one or two in each City. I have seen them in Birmingham, Solihull, Milton Keynes, London (loads) and Glasgow. The only thing is, maybe we have got two different coats in mind as mine isn't waterproof and it's more smart than casual.

I've got one of those coats, i got it in H&M. Beacause of the stitching, it looks a bit like a sleeping bag. People took the mickey at first, because of that, but then who was laughing at the night bus stop in the freezing cold at 4am??it's sooooooo warm because it's really long and keeps all the warmth in.
