Gordon Brown does not nip down to the Bank of England to check the Government bank accounts (although perhaps he should!). Blunkett may or may not be any good, but unless you are suggesting people are intentionally misleading him because he is blind, his lack of sight is irrelevant.
Personally, I am not convinced the direction he is heading is the best interests of the majority.

Sadly, yes
His views seem to be becoming more and more extreme. Does he really carry popular support?
Sadly, quite a lot, yes. It is partly because of his reactionary views (and not necessarily in spite of them) that the Labour government is [I predict] going to be re-elected with an increased majority.
