I have just been offered a job in my local hospital as a team assistant in the operating theatres. Now, im excited, because its my gateway into getting into the nursing profession, but im a bit scared as its totally new, does anyone here do the sam type of job to give me advice on what to expect?

Sorry, I'm getting my wires crossed!  It was somebody else.

 

I work as a technician in the Operating Theatre.  It is an interesting and worthwhile job and will give you a good insight into the nursing profession. Mnay people decide to go on to do their nurse training after doing similar jobs within theatre.

You will need a fairly strong constitution as some of the sights/sounds/smells can be a challenge!

Be prepared to be amazed, astounded and astonished at the human body and what it can withstand.
