I know sometimes it annoys the good people of answerbank when people come over from Facebook and ask questions, the truth is sometimes we need you lot to help us out!

I have information that a few of my friends are making a person’s online social networking life a misery. They are taking great delight in winding her up and harassing her, making out that they are people they are not and finding it funny, then they act all innocent and cry “it wasn’t me.” It’s not funny and it’s certainly not clever , it has now gone too far!!!!!
How can I make her see that these so called “friends” on her FaceBook page are back stabbing her and rumour mongering? I have tried, she does not want to listen as they have turned her against me by telling her lies and now she’s blocked me!!! I only want to put things straight as it’s so frustrating I can’t get in touch with her and admit my part in something that has gone way beyond my control.

report her friends and walk away, if you are not her friend and have already deceived her, she is highly unlikely to listen to you.

try to move on and be a better person in future..

Report it to facebook. Then send her a message stating the facts and names. After that you've done all you can so walk away.

Is she a cyber friend or a real life friend ?
you can't do anything Rachel , she will have to report this as bullying herself, is their not a facility now in FB for this?
btw how old are you?, just curious to see if it is schoolgirl bullying going on.
youve tried, and she didnt want to know. All you can do is step back now and let her decide for herself if they are genuine or not
Hunt down the so-called friends and remove their fingers with a set of garden shears. It'll stop them tyoing abusive things in future.

I always need a good alibi creator if your interested vibra
If she's a cyber friend, forget it, move on. If shes a real life friend, call her or pop round to see her.

Simples.

If I report it to FaceBook, i'll have to admit my part in it and they'll probably terminate my account.
I'm 41, it certainly isn't school yard bullying, it's adults playing with someones good nature. Someone on her friends list is relaying messages to people not on her friends list and they are messaging her with bogus accounts taking the michael out of her, she believes what they are telling her and it's a load of lies, it's not the people she doesn't know she should be worrying about it's someone she thinks is a friend, that is why it is so frustrating!
41?

ROFL!!!

Sorry, but what's the matter with you all? Doesn't life throw enough crap at you, that you, or should I say they, have to do something so childish?

As i've said, if its a cyber friendship, sod the lot of them- move on, it's most certainly not worth it.
Can you find somewhere for me to be tonight then. The vigilante chav-hunter is on the prowl looking for miscreants and ne'erdowells.

My targets tonight are people with irritating ring tones, and those who think it's acceptable to fart in public then blame someone else!!! Grrr
you already tried to help and advice the best you can do now " if you feel inclined " is be there when she realises the truth .

bobjugs mate , i think your forgetting via voice and such programs " they save you having to type so your suggestion is only half as good as it sounds.. stil satifying though : )
I'm a bit confused here, btw thanks for clarifying that Rachel,
but you can choose who you want to befriend in FB, I have, so can she not just block the perpetrators?
vibes are you sure about being bob's sidekick.......this is the guy who hit a traffic bollard.....and blamed it on the town planners......PMSL.
"If I report it to FaceBook, i'll have to admit my part in it and they'll probably terminate my account. "

So you were part of it too? no wonder she doesnt want to listen to you.
I think you all ought to get back to the schoolyard. Play french skippy or something - far more entertaining.
To Rachel B - grow up and get some backbone. If you've been having a go at this lass then admit it and move on. If she doesn't want to be your friend, then thats tough. By the way, being 41 doesn't make you an adult, as the contents of your post suggests.
Jesus, that was like talking to my 8 year old daughter, just more frustrating.

Craft - That bollard jumped into the side of me, it wasn't my fault.
