Has the prime minister changed the appearance of his teeth. Was that the reason why he could not show his face in public despite the Tsunami catastrophe

It does look as though he's had his front teeth capped.  Unnecessary in my opinion - I much prefer teeth with a bit of character, so long as they're not very crooked or rotten, rather than 'a row of tombstones' (as my mum used to say).

No excuse for not showing your face in a crisis though & I wouldn't have thought that was his reason.
