I'm three miles up the road from Westcliff, and I'd doubt the weather will differ that much between here and Hastings.

I would imagine that it's likely to be around 10-15 degrees, and probably a high chance of being windy and rainy. That said, there's also a possibility of it being cold enough to snow and equally that it might get up to the early twenties. I'm no meteorologist however!

In England the only thing predictable about the weather is its unpredictability!  Sorry bobgail but we can't tell reliably whats going to happen tomorrow let alone March!
You can get lucky, I mean we have had terrific weather that time of year, it's just pot luck!

We have a 'temperate maritime' climate here in the UK, bob. So, unlike the more stable and predictable weather experienced in continental climates, the weather here is variable and unpredictable !!

I've been on the tops of snow-covered hills in my shirt sleeves* in Northern Scotland in March and had glorious sunshine. In Wales, (where I'm from), it can often seem to be wet and windy at that time of year, but again you can be lucky and get days that feel like early summer.

It's all luck of the draw, and just depends on which path weather systems winging their way across the Atlantic happen to take.

Snow, on the whole is unlikely, but not unknown. If you come prepared for wet weather, you won't be caught out. And if it turns sunny - you can always strip down !! Enjoy your visit - I hope the weather's good for you !

( * - Just to clarify, I was fully kitted out for this Scottish yomp, (I was spending six hours mapping Lewisian gneisses) but just had to take it all off because it was so damn hot!)

Bring lots of warm clothing and plenty of T Shirts if the sun gets out.  Be prepared for loads of weather changes on a daily basis.  UK weather can change very quickly!  Also, weather is the main topic of UK conversation!!

It could be 1) Cold & bright  2) Cold & rainy  3)Cold & windy  4) Warm & sunny  5) Cloudy & overcast  6) Thundery  4) Hail storms  5) Sunbathing weather (almost)  6) Snowing ((has been known March 1963)) or a combination of any 2 or 3 of the above on the same day . Be prepared and don't be fooled if it's beautiful in the morning - it can all change by lunchtime and vice-versa of course.

Don't forget the thick fog and the sea mists.  It has been known to snow as late as May!   We have also had high temperatures in February.

Hope we haven't put you off our lovely country!

I was there last year for the motorbike rally on southend seafront, and the weather was really warm,in fact i got a tan.So keep your fingers crossed.
