My family went out for a meal last night and there was a bug debate about 2nd cousins and great cousins. Does any body no of the correct termonology and how it all works. Also my cousin wants to know what she would be to my sisters baby would she be a great cousin or 2nd cousin or what?? i know its a werid question but it has been bugging us now. i hope this hasnt confused any 1 whislt reading it lol!! The relationship between your first cousin's child and yourself is "first cousin once removed" The relationship between your first cousin's children and your children will be "second cousins". To the best of my knowledge this is the correct terminology.
