I think it's horrible - I'd like to say that it's great and it's art but I just think that it looks awful.

It's a symbol of craftmanship and designed to get people thinking which it very obviously does, so job done!

I though l saw it wiggle its toes once but on second look it was yet another crowd of Japanese tourists in dark coats and flashy smiles.

I dont mind it at all - just needs a coat of paint.  Rusty angels imply guilt.

I have met Antony Gormley a few times and if you met him you will understand the concept of his art.  For the people who think it just a pile of metal, you clearly have no vision, it is obviously a human form representing an angel.

how does it get people thinking? (honest question, not meaning to sounds sarcastic there :D )

i don't really like it, from far away it looks alright but up close it's pretty ugly and it doesn't seem to know what gender it is!  not as bad as those concrete "paper dolls" in newcastle - horrible!  oh yeah and the blue tiled road thingy they have going on....
