It does seem that this country is getting more violent. When I was young and on the town drinking and there was a scrap between two lads, that's all it was, a few punches thrown then that was it. They may even bump into each other later on and have a drink together, no hard feelings.
Now if some poor unfortunate so much as looks at someone the wrong way, then a gang decends upon them and proceeds to stamp on their head and kick it like a football until they are in a coma or dead. Why? Where has all this anger and hate come from?

Narrrrr pixi...they just start it....

Andy....I understand where you're coming from. To me the problem lies in the fact that a pint is so expensive now. People get tanked up on cheap wine before they even hit the pubs. 3 bottles for a tenner deals....and you can get 3 pints of lager for £9 in the pub. By the time they've hit the pub they've had their limit.

Saying that...it's not ^^^those types that are the problem when it comes to violence. The biggest trouble making thug in this town, and his meat head friends...are in their late 30's/early 40's...
It has increased and there is no doubt about that. Reasons are so many. Few are instant and few more deeply rooted.

Alcohol and drugs is the instant bit as these two are known to raise blood pressure and these together inflame deep rooted discipline related problems. In time gone by, people used to feel proud in looking sober now you have to get drunk and fall here and there to impress others. Then family issues as many youngsters now a days are growing up either without a role model at all or a role model that is not a good model at all. Then of course unemployment (empty brain home of devil) kind of situation.
Young people go out at the weekends with the intention of getting rat-a*sed, Somehow it's getting much worst than it used to be.
