Is there any way that I can find out who owns a property (domestic) in Scotland?

Unlike England, Scotland hasn't put such information directly online. (For an English title register, showing who owns a property, you simply pay £4 online and download it).

The Scottish register requires you to send your request (either online or by post), which is then processed manually and the information is sent to you. The fee is therefore higher than in England. (Quote: "A typical search submitted by email or letter costs between £11 and £14 plus VAT"). Here's the form which you'll need:

If the property is privately rented(and registered as reqired by law)you may find some info at www.landlordregistrationscotland.gov.uk using the public(free)search

Hi Ixion
I followed up your suggestion and found that, though the property has tenants, it is not registered. Interesting!
Thanks..
