Well I won't hold my breath waiting for all the unpleasant people who judged her death to be a drugs overdose to apologise, but it's nice for her family to know that she didn't contribute to her own demise by OD'ing.
Maybe the culmination of all the substance abuse together with alcohol eventually took it's toll, even on her heart, guess people don't get off scott free when they use things that go against the body.
She had alcohol in her body though.
Poor Amy. I still feel sad that she's gone. So glad it wasn't an overdose.
...and there ya go...

Strictly speaking it did say the autopsy showed no illegal substances but not that there were no legal ones such as prescribed drugs or alcohol. It's still too soon to jump to conclusions 'unpleasant' or otherwise. She lived her short life the way she wanted to live it and no doubt that lead to her untimely demise one way or another.
Let's remember her for her fabulous music and this track shows her at her best. Paul Weller and AW and Jools. It starts slowly and gets better and better, fab sax solo and Amy in full voice. Makes me cry.

Generally heroin stays in your system for only 24 hours everyone's body make up is different and it can stay in a persons system for up to 72 hours.
I always thought she would not make old bones like MJ
There was something just too fragile about her
Poor Amy
Gromit would you care to explain which of your posts are correct Is it 24hrs. 72hrs, for ever?

So, she died of a heroin overdose *after* the time that it would have left her system.......?!!?

How does that work then? :o/

I think that is quite common . It applies to many drugs . There have been a number of cases where people have died much later in hospital. They die from the damage to the organs usually the liver.
Not strictly true

Look at what experts are saying about the toxicology
"I think that is quite common . It applies to many drugs"

You think? how about some facts instead.

Herion (morphine) is not a very toxic drug at all and does virtually no damage to the liver or any other organ, it actually metabolises very cleanly in it's pure form, which is why its used as a pain killer.

Still some people will insist on trying to convince themselves she must have been out of her face when she died because it fits with their preconceptions.
