Teddy, your right, I am a racists, I cant help it, I've seen too much discrimination against my country man, just to accommodate these foreigners.
Yes ummm, everyone should be treated equally, but unforgettably that doesn't work, look around you, look at the foreign people getting looked after, they seem to be taken care of before the indigenous people!
Trt Your right.

I blame the late Labour Government for letting to many immigrants into the UK over the past 10 years, which has affected the social services of not being able to look after the British people who have been born here and paid their dues all their lives to the NHS stamps Taxes etc, yet they let people in who can claim houses, lots of benefits, who have not put a penny in the pot.

Mixed society yes it does, I don't think you can say that Ian Wright isn't Englist or Monty Panasar, for instance aren't English and the vast majority accept them as such.
However mixed culture I would say the evidence says no.
We the British and in the main christian religions are tolerant and understanding. You cannot doubt that we are moving to secularism and we toloarate this. It is clear that other cultures do not, will not allow free will in matters of religion and this will always lead to clashes

A highly questionable assertion I think. It seems to persist in the myth (let's be honest about what we mean here) that Moslems are trying to impose their religion on "our society". Much of the actual interracial violence in Britain seems to have been caused actually by intolerance towards and misunderstanding of people of other races and cultures - often, ironically, in defence of a "Christianity" to which they pay, at best, lip service. And where the violence comes from the "other side" it doesn't seem to me to be because that "side" is trying to impose its religion or culture,
Perception is often everything. What a fuss we make when councils, allegedly, ban Christmas lights or if, say, Moslem workers ask for time off for Friday prayers. And yet look the demise of Sunday as "Christian day of rest". The decline in churchgoing etc etc. None of those, think, caused by inter-cultural factors.

That isn't what I said, albeit, rather shortly.
I am not saying that directly Muslim are trying to convert , I am saying they don't allow dissent in thier own culture and do not tolorate other religions.
I disagree totaly that racism in this country is religion based. I think the racists are racist and never use (or need) christianity as an excuse.

Yes I know what you're saying - it really amounts to the same thing. Personally, I don't believe Moslems are any more or less tolerant than members of any other religion. True Islam demands tolerance of other beliefs, so does true Christianity, but there are lots of factos related to society, sects, etc. which cloud these ideals.

Religion is often used as an excuse (just look at Northern Ireland, but not jsut there). Proper religion has nothing to do with it, but that's not necessarily how the racist (on whatever side) sees it.
Fundamentally, what I am saying is: i don't believe Christianity is inherently any more tolerant than any other religon or indeed non-religion. We are mistaking tolerance for absence of belief.

What I have to say is purely from my own point of view. I am a so-called 'foreigner' in this country, which incidently, I consider to be and proud to call 'my' country. I came to the UK when I was 6 (I'm now, sadly, middle-aged!) but the country I came from was a British Colony at that time so I came here legally. My parents have never claimed benefits, in fact, they worked their socks off and only having one day off a week. They saved hard to buy a house and has never claimed housing benefit.
I grew up and had mostly white friends and fitted in without any problems. When I arrived at 6 years old, I only knew very basic English: alphabet and simple sentences. However, there was no special treatment for me or my siblings, we were thrown in at the deep end and had to fit in and we picked up English very quickly (in fact, English is now my fluent tongue and I struggle with my mother tongue, not even able to read it). My parents didn't go into school and demand I had extra English lessons, etc. Yes, I had my share of name-calling when I was at school but it didn't make me hate the English. If anything, I sort of went the other way and wanted to leave my roots and be English to fit in.
I am now happily married to a white British man and have mixed-raced kids. There aren't any problems with this. My siblings are also married to white British men and also have mixed-raced children. I actually feel more English and forget that on the outside, I don't look caucasian. I don't stick with my own race at all but if anyone were to diss about my race without justification, then I would be the first to voice my opinions. It doesn't matter what race one is, if for example, a French person were to diss England for no reason, I would be there to stick up for my country.
