“HOW am I to know which is the right religion? There are hundreds of different religions and each one claims to be the right one. I don’t have time to study every religion in order to choose the right one. It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack!”

egalitarian....
Ahh, god as a brand, ripe for comparison shopping. Excellent idea! Now, if only we could stop people slaughtering others over their particular choice, that would be just peachy..... :)

"White Bears are so last year! I have gone for the groovy lightning bolt look!"
Elderman, do not try to choose a religion(to be a member of)it is far too complex and important for mere mortals to begin to comprehend. The best approach is to avoid all religions lest they tempt you with hollow promises and wait for the one true deity in his omnipotence and omniscience to become aware of the spiritual needs of your insignificant soul. He will guide you wisely and show you a sign like a brilliant light in the sky. If He does not show you such a sign it is because your soul is either already redeemed or beyond redeption, Only He will know. He has ordained your path, only wait for his word. If it is His will that you forego religious affiliation then you will be truly blessed for you are perfect.
How about this one ? You are going about being nasty to people, you set out on a journey to find more people to persecute, a tremendously bright light strikes you and you fall off your donkey. You go temporarily blind, but you feel you have to make sense of this, so you change your name and pick up the religion of the people you used to be nasty to.
It is called Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
In any choice between the lesser of two evils, it is evil that invariably wins. The 'right religion' is an oxymoron. Religion is a non-alternative to the need to think . . . rationally.
I have just realise why Eldeman doens't answer questions.

Elderman/Godlife etc are nothing more than robot posters. They just spit out sentences and occasionally quote parts previous posts.

Just look at the gibberish and you will see that I am correct.
I agree, Beso - there's no reaction from it - it fails the Turing test.

“CLEANLINESS is, indeed, next to godliness.” So says a proverb of this old world. Yes, most people appreciate physical cleanliness. That is why supermarkets and drug stores feature soaps, detergents and deodorants. And that is why we have laundries, cleaning services and sanitation departments. Why, suppose you went to a fine restaurant and the tablecloth was stained, the dishes were dirty and the waitress wore a soiled dress! Would you not lose your appetite? Undoubtedly you would because uncleanness is offensive.
look for a religion that is simple and has facts and not fiction, look for a religion that gives you things that you can understand and that can be explained to you clearly without you having to guess to if this true or fiction. you should make a list of questions that are important to you. and see which religion gives you creditable answers. I know I have not given you the answer but I think I have given you something you should start of with and think hard, before you go into it blindly. I think your heart and mind will tell you which is the best.
Too late. Elderman has already gone into it blindly.

True,For the planet to be a truly clean home for mankind, its occupants must be a clean people, morally as well as physically. Humans must overcome their basic egocentrism and develop unselfish qualities, showing consideration for their fellow humans and their animal neighbors. Can this be done?
Can you do it, Elderman?

Can you exhibit kindness to your fellow man..........by answering a simple question?
Question Author
Yes,Much can be read about the rewards of kindness in the books of this world; it is a quality praised by philosophers and writers on manners, etiquette and charm.
As a matter of etiquette I invite you to be honest about which particular 'brand' of Christianity you are promoting....

That way we'll all be able to have a more mutually fulfilling exchange of views.
