Have you been marked by the beast ?
120 Answers
(Revelation 17:8 ) The Bible sheds much light on the meaning of symbolic beasts. Like the lion, a bear, a leopard, and a fearsome beast with big teeth of iron. It tells us that these beasts represent “kings,” or kingdoms, or governments that rule in succession over mankind.

Having been asked many times if he's a Jehovah's Witness, not once has he given an answer - and yet twice now he has been caught plagiarising stuff from JW websites and when confronted has immediately congratulated the successful detective? I seriously doubt that he's a JW.
BOO - watch out, the first church of Answerbank has appointed JTH as Trollfinder General. If he can't see any trolls, he may go after someone with a witches mark... Praise Ab Editor <]:-)
I don't like the sound of this.
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Nice to see religious fruitloopery combining with the latest paranoid conspiracy about RF microchipping.
I mean, most of the bible is trite homilies, flavoured with xenophobia, fear, suspicion, mysogeny, anti -intellectual - I mean, this is a book that values faith above reason - Of all the chapters and verses though, the one bit that is quite barkingly mad is the section named Revelations - and you expect us to take any of this peyote inspired hallucinatory drivel as of value?
This appears to go beyond even your standard of biblical drivel, Elderman. Are you getting points from some sort of bible college towards a preaching degree or something?

"Possibly he could be left to have his rants on his own." Precisely the point I was making in my own earlier response above, Seadogg. It is clearly utterly pointless to try to engage meaningfully with this person. This, therefore - though it isn't even such an attempt - will be my last contribution to any of his threads. I commend that to others.
I don't get your point, Ludwig.

Ha ha, is show you worship a seven-headed wild beast. That may seem strange. Yet it is one drawn, not from the realm of fiction, but from reality. The most tragic aspect is that there are persons who resort to brutalities in an effort to force others to worship the “wild beast. but you say you know your Bible?
