No Never. its a huge no no .
yes, but not a long beaded and lacy white gown...
Noooooo! Unless the Bride is not wearing white.
I think there's some nonsense about upstaging the bride.
yes it's ok, but depends on the bride's dress too!.......I personally wouldn't wear white as a guest................

It would be worn with black shoes and a black shrug. Does that make it acceptable?
hope you just didn't buy a beautiful white dress
I wa brought up to believe it was bad form to wear white but the last few weddings I've been to I've seen ladies wearing it, do you know the bride well, if so, ask her what she thinks.
hmmm I wouldn't and it might put the bride in a difficult position to ask her....
Maybe, but i would say if you could change it then that would be better.

It's not me, it's my 17 year old daughter who bought a cute white skater dress with a lace top from Topshop.
This actually happened to me,and the person stood next to me only to be told by the photographer to go to the end of the group photo. So if she can change it that might be better for her.
Only if you are female......
noooo get her to get blue or pink to wear with it, it will make it look less white.x
I think it would be ok if it was a cocktail dress style with different coloured excessories... I wouldn't if it was a long, formal affair though.
Because opinions on approrpiateness of white vary so much, I would suggest erring on the side ofd caution. Better safe than sorry - I am sure your daughter would not want to feel uncomfortable on the day.
Lol excessories, are those the ones that cost a fortune? Sorry, not being rude about your spelling, I thought it was a great malapropism.
I think you can, as long as it's plain and elegant and is nothing like the bride's
basically its ok as long as no-one could mistake you for the bride - so perhaps coloured shoes, bag, tights, jewellery, hat etc and maybe a jacket or wrap or something.

definitely no veil.
If you are a bloke yes it's ok.
