A licence for savagery? Even politicians talking about it is a death sentence.
They wanted to Burn an 11 year old mentally deficient child for "Blasphemy", it's not even clear what she did. Her parents fear for their lives. How can a state not deal with this horror?

So if we ‘transport’ the punishment that would be meted out here for damaging a book to Islamic countries, that would mean the action of damaging a book would carry no penalty in Islamic countries. That’s the first sensible thing you’ve said.
no, for murder what do they do here? arrest. For rape what do they do? arrest. Transport the methods of punishment to islamic countries. If you cannot understand that i really feel sorry for you.
also i knew you would not be able to stop reading.
We're not talking about murder. We're talking about damaging a book.
//also i knew you would not be able to stop reading//

Ah, if only, eh? Dream on. ;o)
yes, the punishment for crimes here should be used there for the destroying of the quran. Not the death penalty. Im not talking about the punishments of a book here. im talking about how it should be punished in islamic countries.
and not any book, just the quran.
or if the country has other religions than also there holy books.
//yes, the punishment for crimes here should be used there for the destroying of the quran. //

But there is no punishment here for damaging a book. Tell you what - I'll go and get on with what I have to do whilst you try to work out what you're talking about. Bye for now.
Sith, The koran doesn't exist, only copies of it exist. Don't muslims understand anything? Don't tell me that muslim scholars don't delete koranic texts on their computers, of course they do. What is the difference between a copy on a computer or a memory stick and a copy printed on paper. Get a life.
The guise here is to rid other faiths from Pakistan, albeit thru a child. Maybe its time for this land to be returned to hindus & muslims go to the arabian desert where they belong...lol
Tambo, the reason muslims left the Arabian desert was that their culture was based on robbing and/or killing their neighbours. This behaviour though a valid alternative to work was not sustainable, which is why they moved into agrarian North Africa turned it into a desert with their 'farming ' practices and then moved into Spain but fortunately were kicked out.

naomi, youve actually left? I know what im talking about and if it was far to complicated for you, than let me know and i will attempt to explain it even more simply. Otherwise goodbye, until we meet on another thread.
//The koran doesn't exist//

actually the original copy does jom. It still exists. And please stop calling me sith as it is getting pathetic. I will say it once, if you dont listen than fine.
//' practices and then moved into Spain but fortunately were kicked out.//

they werent kicked out. They were massacred.
i believe that you are sith, have the same MO, but back to the story, a girl is purported to have burned pages of a book, the quran, no firm evidence, yet a mob were outside her families home baying for her blood, is that a caring peaceful society, not really. If that happened in Britain, there would be outrage and rightly so. Perhaps once the President gets involved fully. he can have his people look into the matter and ascertain what went on, until that time suggest a cooling off period for all concerned.
Imagine a printing firm were producing copies of the Quran and after the print run they discovered a fault. Would it be more than their lives were worth to pulp the imperfect product?
well em i did say that they need evidence before making a judgement. Also if you believe im sith fine, i wont argue, but tell me, what do you mean by i have the same mo?

sandyroe, no, because they'll know it was a mistake. There are people who have memorised the quran by heart. And if you mean by "pulp the imperfect product" to destroy it than if it has mistakes it is not the quran, is it?
If the words were all OK but the binding was faulty. What then?
I sometimes wish that the book that I cherish was treated with half as much reverence
^^ The origin of species?
