Not forgiving and harbouring bitterness makes more sense but you knew what I meant..x
If the shoes fits, look for the other one.
forgiving and forgetting is wise. It doesn't matter whether the other person "deserves" it or not - the lesson is for your own benefit, not theirs.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
I will never forgive my brother for raping me from the age of 7 until I was 10, anyone who suggests I should needs their head checking!
I do not let it ruin my life though, in some way it has made me stronger and better able to cope with the sh1t life throws at me.
Everything my father used to tell me when I thought he was a silly old fool.
Turns out he was right.
I think you're completely wrong there Andrew - if you can you should

But just because you should doesn't mean you can
Don't worry be happy and always look for the good not the bad. If you focus on the bad things in life you will be down and no-one wants to be round someone who moans all the time.
Try to be grateful for all the good things in life, no matter how small, and not to dwell on the bad things, no matter how large.
If possible take charge of your own destiny, do not leave it to someone else, they will only help themselves.
Daffy.......exactly! xxx
Carry on as you are and you'll get more of the same.

Try and see yourself as others see you.
Nothing is as important as it seems at the time.
I think you're missing the point, Jake. Just because someone is not willing to forgive, doesn't mean they're harbouring hatred or are unable to get on with their life.
When I was going through a particularly bad patch, someone told me "This will pass", and it became a bit of a mantra with me whenever things went badly wrong.
I was abused as a child by someone much older and for years I tried to trace them and spent hours and hours thinking about how much I hated them then I got diabetes arthritis in loads of place heart problems and I realised the only way I was ever going to be free of him was to write him a letter and then burn it and it is the best thing I ever did I am free and I have forgiven him
Don't waste time, not a minute of it. Tell and show the people that you love that you love them every day. Don't waste time arguing or bearing grudges. Forgive or leave. If you want something to happen then do something towards it every day. Things won't change, you have to change things. No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

the platitudes are true!
Don't trust people who ''Know''. Even yourself.
Never let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
love everyone, trust no-one.
