I work for a family of sikhs ,and the father of my boss has just passed away. All of my colleagues have put to, and bought a couple of nice topiary bushes for their houses to remember him by , was wondering if the would appreciate them , or not?
It is a nice gesture, but why mention they are sikhs? Do you think the belief would have any bearing on their appreciation of greenery? I am not nitpicking and am sorry if you view it that way.
To me it is simple; if the boss is a nice person, by all means show your respect. If he's an *$^%# boss then ignore it.
we were all worried that their beliefs would make them not appreciate our gesture . But we didn't have to worry . The whole family loved them , and they were given pride of place , ready for the funeral tomorrow
we got two of them , one for each house . They were well chuffed, though visibly upset, as we had written a letter to go with them , saying we sent our love and were thinking of them all at this sad time.
