Christmas decorations far too early

I have seen Christmas decorations in people's homes now since the middle of November. It's ridiculous, it's far too early! Have these people nothing better to do? It's long enough as it is without prolonging it.

I agree dave. On the council estate near where I live, they have been up, since early October !

I've already got some bunting up for the Queen's next jubilee.

Actually it's just from the last one that I haven't taken down yet, but it might as well stay there and save me a job in ten years time.

On a council estate near me they have been up all year
For my part I would put them up in mid november and keep them up until 22 Jan
But I'm not in charge of Christmas at my house its son no2's job

Also hearing Christmas songs in shops in November is also annoying.

we had christmas songs in shops in September !!!..got my deccies up...did it on Tuesday..have to grab the chance to do things when I can !! otherwise would not have done it 'till mid Dec..

It is getting earlier & earlier each year. My elderly Mother tells me that 'in her day' the decs didnt go up till Xmas Eve.

I dont think its worth it putting them up that late cos I like to get into the spirit a bit earlier than that but mid December is good for me.

mid Dec will do for me - but my neighbour had been going through a bad time and put all her kit up 2 weeks ago to cheer herself up, flashing santas and all.

I don't think it is early to do that for that Christmas is such a big holiday.
