Not sure if this is the best place for this but looks the most appropriate. First of all happy new year everyone. Is it normal/standard prcedure to ask the broom what gift to buy as a wedding present ?
Just haven't been in this position before, well I have but buying a present hadn't crossed my mind.
I presume that you mean "groom" if he is the one you know best then yes you can ask, or ask if they have a wedding list. Its better than them getting 72 cruets and 9 electric kettles.
Lots of couples have a wedding list at a particular department store that also gives the prices, so that you can buy what you can afford. I would ask the groom about this.
Thanks guys appreciate it, Yes the groom as in the guy is who I have known for years, yes they may well have a wedding list with a dept store which had crossed my mind, im due to meet up with him at soem point so Ill ask him then if theres a list or what to get as a gift.
It doesn't worry me what they ask for. Our gift is always good quality large fluffy bath towels. If the couple is young they also get a naughty his'n'her set.
I know the 'list' is a good idea to prevent copies but it doesn't sit right with me.
