do you believe in it?
i was gonna make a new account to talk about this so you didnt all think i was mad but the fact that we would have had the same avatar could have been a dead giveaway :P
anyway..... ive always had lucid dreams and often had what people refer to as sleep paralysis but ive always thought there was more to it than your brains awake but your bodies not kind of thing....if there was just the sense of paralysis i could believe it but the sense that something evil is in the room with me makes me believe its more than that... also i had this long before i heard others had it and after reading about it i find it completely weird that people throughout the ages from all different backgrounds and cultures can have the same experience of an evil thing near them
to cut a long story short a fortnight ago i gave someone a personal belonging of mine then later joked he was going to do voodoo on me
since then i have had night terrors a lot worse than ever before.... im not stressed, i dont touch alcohol or any drugs at all.... i spoke with a friend whos alim and he advised me to among other things play a recording of quran while i sleep... i did this for 2 or 3 nights and nothing happened. last night i forgot to put it on and it was back full force
so my question is simple.... do you believe witchcraft exists?

hi pixi, so youve joined me in Eds harem clad in pink burkas ;)
I chase out my fears with music. Others say my house is haunted but my ghost is my protector. He has his own room that I shout him into when I get fearful. A friend would tease him and he played tricks on her like locking her in her car. She had to drive him back to my house - lol

You gave a personal item to someone who said he was going to do Voodoo on you and the night fears began – then you spoke to someone you think is wise who told you to play recordings of the Koran, indicating that it would remove the fear – and it did – so I think you’ve answered your own question – you’re susceptible to suggestion.
No, I don’t believe in Witchcraft.

Do I believe witchcraft exists ? Depends on what you mean by that. I'm aware some are witches by religion. Do I think there is some kind of unexplained control on others, well I like to keep an open mind but generally no. Certainly not like those weaving horror tales like to spin. This is almost certainly just in your mind. Your subconscious, for whatever reason, is calmer when you do something than when you don't, in this case playing this recording. if it works for you then fine, but I'd not put any more effect on it than that. The mind is a lot more complex than most give it credit for the fact that most think the conscious is in control is just one simple example. This voodoo stuff is likely to cease to cause symptoms with you in time, quran recording or not.
I think the little dolls is Hoodoo, more than Voodoo.
Voodoo is a respectable religion. We worship benevolent spirits, who look after different aspects of our lives, and nature, doing the work of the great god Bondye.
We don't stick pins in dolls.
Actually, Voodoo and White Witchcraft is more likely to heal you, rather than make you feel bad.

I am a witch though I don't belong to a Coven. I do not run around zapping people nor do I have a black cat and warts though I do have a besom ;-). My grandmother was a witch also. Witches are/were herbalists that were able to help people with remedies and because some people recovered by using these remedies they were thought of as magical. Some Witches used this 'magic' to intimidate and for personal gain (bit like mainstream religion) while others tried to keep under the radar with the fear they would be persecuted and killed. Voodoo and other Black Arts work on the victim believing something bad will happen, the Shamen (not witch!!) works on the psychi (sp) and imagination of their victims.
So yes-witchcraft does exist but not in the way most people think. ;-)
