Sorry if this seems like a duplicate. It's just that two people have asked me out in high school, and I'm not sure what I should do. I don't really stand out, and so I'm curious as to why they wanted to ask me out. I honestly don't really believe that high school relationships are even serious, but I have heard about teachers who've met their loved one at during their high school lives. Bottom-line, I'm not sure if they're serious or not serious (therefore, the reason of me asking these questions in order to find out some possible reasons for their motives), and I want to have some advice on what to do. Also, it'd really be nice if me and those people can just be friends because, although I believe most high school relationships aren't serious, I just dislike having to show 'emotion' (ex. faking that I care deeply), and having to give 'contact and touching' (ex. hugs, arms around shoulder or waist) for an insincere relationship (I'm not against all that hugging and touching - I just dislike the fake drama that some people do). To me, I believe that people want relationships because they just want someone to hang out with (or to create drama), but that's all I know. Lastly, I should probably just tell them face-to-face that we should just be friends, but I really want to hear advice and thoughts from other people who know more than I do - hence, the reason I am here asking this question.
