Does My Friend Have Feelings For Me?
32 Answers
Does my friend have feelings for me?I met this guy a few years ago at a drama class and I see him often with the other friends I've made. Recently we've started to have sex after nights out. The bad thing is - i'm in a relationship which my friend knows i'm not happy with. My friend holds my hand during and after sex, he cuddles me, he even goes for round two in the morning. Please tell me this doesn't mean he has strong feelings for me. I'll be breaking up with my boyfriend soon, but would like to keep what I have with my friend casual. What advise do people have?

I would be wary about mistaking lots of sex for love. Lots of sex just means lots of lust, not the same thing at all. Also you appear to be two-timing your current boy friend. A boy or girl friend isn't the same as a casual one night stand, as it should mean something more close and lasting. If you want to ditch man your boyfriend and take up with this new chap, go ahead but it sounds to me as if its just more lust rather than more love.

Why are you delaying breaking up with your boyfriend? Do you live together or have kids?
If not, make a clean break asap. I don't see any reason why you can't continue with your "friends with benefits" situation you have elsewhere.
As for knowing if the friend has deeper feelings, I can't say. You will only know if you ask him or he tells you. If you don't want to know, don't ask.

lots of men like affection too, doesn't mean they love you, they may just enjoy that feeling of closeness
my bf is like limpet sometimes, cuddling me like a little monkey on my back, it feels like he's trying to get through the other side sometimes, he cuddles so intensely haha.
whenever he wakes up, and he realises there he shoots across the bed in a split second and clamps onto me.
he holds my hand, and when we are sleeping he likes our bums to touch so he 'knows i'm there' haha
he also kind wraps himself around me to sleep, at first, almost like i'm a cushion
im sure men miss all that sort of stuff when they are single too
