As I said nudity is Germany is far more common. This guy is a poor example of naturists generally as he seems to have some mental health issues which most don't have.
Depending upon where someone decides to get naked, I’m bothered by it. On a beach specially assigned to those who want to go naked, fine – but I wouldn’t want to sit on a bus next to someone who’s naked. Bad enough trundling around a supermarket on a summer day in close proximity to fat, sweaty men in vest tops! And I absolutely hate communal changing rooms where we don't have the option to keep our bits to ourselves and everyone is expected to throw their clothes off without a second thought. I like my privacy.

A fair point, but that argument applies to any minority behaviour which some people indulge in, but it is not reflected in wider society.
"As I said nudity is Germany is far more common."
That may be, but it does not follow that it is, or should be, more common elsewhere. You could equally argue that obesity is more common in America, it's not an argument for it coming here.

Indeed - but sadly, because of his behaviour, not just his nudity, but his rigourous obsession with going to court and being imprisoned, will only highlight his peculiarites because he is newsworthy.
This simply serves to underline the perceptions (inaccurate though they may well be) of society in general, that wanting to walk around with no clothes on is the intention and action of an odd person.

It's not a criminal offence to be naked anywhere in Germany and I have seen plenty of naked people all over the place in Germany however if you are being naked for a weird reason ( your own sexual thrills) for example you can be fined for causing a public nuisance which is only right as it roots out the weirdos. I think the fact that naturism seamlessly blends in with clothed folk testifies to the fact that you really don't have to legislate against nudism because most of the time it's too flaming cold in Berlin to even consider it and when you do see a naked person it's just like oh hey FKK- no big deal.

I believe it is not a criminal offence here either - the law falls under 'public nuisance'.
I mentioned previously that lots of offences are goverened by 'umbrella' legislation, and this is simply an example.
In a similar way - it is not illegal to drive on the right side of the road, because there is no statute that compels you to drive on the left, but you would be prosecuted for driving without due care and attention - which is an offence.

The point is - that may be the way things are done in Germany, but in the UK, being nude in public is the only reason people need to view you as a weirdo - further behaviour is not required.
