Sending Broken Jewellery To Charity Shops

Have some pieces of broken silver jewellery, which on their own are probably not worth a lot, but could be useful to be added to other pieces.
Does anyone know which charities encourage you to send them this kind of thing by post?

I'm sure they'd far rather have the money from you selling them to a reputable, independant, jeweller.
