@woofgang Yes it is partly about my views on culture, but the main idea behind this project is to also carry out a lot of research and investigate on this topic. Therefore, I am carrying out interviews to get other people's opinion. I am trying to find out to what extent cultural diversity has an impact on all individuals in society.

If they variously spoke French, Hindi and English (and none were multilingual) this would make an accidental difference (in this case language) very important: the survivivors can't discuss issues of survival with each other verily easily. Diversity in this case would be an impediment to the broader aim, i.e. survival.
The evident observation that diversity in my scenario is unhelpful in no way implies that Hindi is inferior to French.

For the world or a country ?
In limited amounts it can be beneficial, adding new ideas and experiences. In excess it causes rifts between the established culture and the new one that isn't integrating sufficiently but providing a rival one within the same country.
I don't think one can give it the accolade "important". A culture goes on whether diversity exists in it or not. It is simply a fact, your country has one or not, and if it does integration is important to achieve a single overall culture, not competing ones.

We have the same great domed head, buzzing with fanciful ideas, the luxuriant flowing white whiskers, and the look of someone who has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
