I am still waiting for you to accept my invitation to debate the proposition that Islam is a dangerous ideology, Andy. I am prepared to defend the proposition (on a separate thread) ignorant and paranoid as I am. I do not want or need help from my friends in the pub.
All you're doing on this thread is reassert your own moral superiority and sneer at us bigots. You shouldn't forego the chance to assist my moral improvement and to add a little cheer into my sad and meaningless life.
On the other hand you might also succeed in making me look even more ignorant and bigoted than I've shown so far.

Be delighted - please advise when your thread is ready, I will see you there.

Irony aside - sneering at a bigot is not an example of moral superiority, it's a default position.
// On the other hand you might also succeed in making me look even more ignorant and bigoted than I've shown so far.//
I doubt that - I am sure you are at least my intellectual equal, and quite possibly superior, and I look forward to an exchange of views.

david - //Islam is an antiquated belief, based upon the force of conquest and superstitious idealism. It's preposterous ideological premise that some hundreds of years ago a paedophile warlord had a personal communication with God, who instructed him to dictate people's behaviour for the remainder of human existence, is plainly infantile, idiotic, and just plainly nonsense. This garbage will eventually be seen for what it is....rubbish. Until that time arrives? //
You can reduce any religious belief - Christianity included - to nonsense by simply ridiculing its basic premises, and the ideas of its believers.
But however nonsensical you wish to make a religion - any religion - you will find many thousands of millions are following it in an effort to make sense of things, and to guide them in leading good lives.
You will also find an infinitesimally small number of people who will twist the basics into their own ideology, often backing it up with violence and hatred - which says more about them than the faith they twist.
So given that we all know this - what is the point you wish to make?
