But we won't all work on that basis. The people who support these horrendous practices won't, that's for sure. That's why, even though FGM is outlawed in Egypt, a very high percentage of girls continue to be subjected to it. //
On reflection, I must agree with your point.
I remember watching a documentary on the subject years ago, which advised that many women who have suffered this barbaric practice, have the mind-set that their daughters should not be immune from suffering it as well.
That's a cultural mind set that it will be seriously hard to remove.
